The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of a facility, its personnel, and its assets by implementing security protocols and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities:


  • SecurityProtocolImplementation: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • SurveillanceandInspections: Conduct regular security inspections and surveillance activities to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the facility.
  • IncidentResponse: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
  • AccessControlManagement: Monitor access control systems, issue identification badges, and manage visitor logs to regulate facility access effectively.
  • TrainingandAwareness: Provide training and guidance to employees on security awareness and best practices for maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate security reports and documentation, including incident reports and security audits.
  • Collaboration: Work with management and other departments to develop and implement security enhancement projects and ensure a secure environment for all employees and visitors.

Requirements

  •  High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in a security role, preferably within a corporate or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of security systems and protocols, excellent observational skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in security management or a related field (e.g., CPP, PSP) is preferred.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, etc.).
