Your Role:
As a Career Development & Internship Specialist, you’ll help shape CEA CAPA’s innovative Career & Internship Programs (CIP), which include Global Internships, Business Consulting, Community-Based Learning, and Research Placements. You’ll collaborate across teams to strengthen our CIP portfolio, manage the student pipeline, and embed career development into every stage of the student journey. You’ll also provide advanced career coaching to prepare students for success abroad.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with colleagues across the organization to develop, assess, and enhance CIP programs in alignment with best practices in international education, career readiness, and diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all CIP strands, offering training and guidance to internal teams and addressing questions or concerns as they arise.
- Support Institutional Relations and Marketing teams in promoting CIP programs to students and U.S. institutions through virtual meetings, webinars, and occasional in-person visits.
- Monitor the CIP student pipeline for assigned locations and provide feedback to ensure enrollment goals are met.
- Advise on CIP components for custom program proposals and collaborate with teams to ensure program quality and alignment.
- Guide students through the pre-departure placement process, setting clear expectations and supporting them to meet deadlines.
- Provide advanced career coaching—resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation—to students who need extra support, helping them succeed and increasing their placement potential.
- Prepare students for the rigor of their chosen program and, when necessary, redirect them to a better-fit option.
- Maintain strong communication with onsite CIP staff to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Develop and lead career development initiatives for CIP alumni to support their re-entry and enhance employability.
- Participate in emergency phone duties as needed.
Starting Salary: $50,000
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year supporting student career development and 2 years in program development and project management
- Experience coaching U.S. undergraduate students on career readiness topics
- Skilled in program improvement and project coordination
- Strong collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

What Makes You Stand Out:
- Master’s degree
- Coaching Certification by National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE)
- Experience studying, living, and/or working multiculturally
- Experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) databases, Salesforce preferred
