Reports to: Director, Human ResourcesDepartment: Human ResourcesLevel: Professional LevelPosition Summary:The People Team Specialist position is often exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department. In addition to recruiting and placing new employees, the People Team Specialist assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have about policies.Responsibilities:• Consulting with the employer and identifying employment needs.• Handles the day-to-day operations of HR functions, including recruiting.• Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience, and education.• Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants.• Provide onboarding support for new hires and often work alongside other teams, including recruitment.• Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties.• Conducting or helping with new employee orientation.• Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.• Keeping process paperwork and employment records.• Assist with company events, coordinating with vendors.• Sending important communications to the company.• Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact.• Special Projects: deliver HR initiatives through completion and create reporting to track progress.• Other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements:Education, Knowledge, and Experience: • Requires a High School Diploma and 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience plus an associate degree, or additional training, or certification.• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources related field.• Computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends and inform decisions.Skills:• Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.• Works under moderate supervision. • Executes against deliverables on-time and achieves desired results.• Ability to speak, read and write Spanish fluently. • Strong interpersonal, business presentation, and written communication skills. • Highly developed and demonstrated customer service, teamwork, and collaboration skills. • Ability to interface with multiple levels of leadership and management. • Independent judgment and the ability to display appropriate common sense, manage ambiguity, analyze and resolve problems, ensure confidentiality, work with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects and deadlines, show attention to detail, and exercise discretion in an environment of constant change are necessary.Physical Requirements: • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk, or hear.• The employee in a job that regularly requires lifting up to 50 pounds.• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus. Up to 60000.00 (USD) Annually
