 We are seeking a talented Event Manager to join our events speaker management team in a full-time, salaried role. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to team members, clients, and vendors. Our team is highly detail-oriented and process-driven, known for delivering projects on time and within budget. This role focuses strongly on project coordination and management.You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Content & Learning. If you are located outside of the Atlanta area, the position may be done remotely.

If you reside in the Atlanta area, the expectation would be to go into the corporate office, located in Duluth, twice a week.   You must be comfortable traveling to various events up to 25% of the time.   Salary is $70-90K.

What You’ll Do: 


  • Assist in updating and configuring speaker management systems to meet project requirements.
  • Support the Call for Submission process, including form creation and speaker notifications.
  • Manage meetings, including producing meeting notes and tracking action items.
  • Collaborate with team members to support event objectives outlined by clients and team leads.
  • Draft and review speaker communications prior to client approval.
  • Maintain accurate speaker and session records, ensuring information is cross-checked for accuracy.
  • Manage personal and team deadlines as directed by the project lead.
  • Expertly manage relationships, deadlines, and deliverables for key stakeholders.
  • Lead testing and review phases of platforms to ensure accurate speaker and session information (e.g., session acceptance, speaker resource center, website catalog, mobile apps).
  • Proof and edit event-related content for marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the presentation review process, tracking the progress of each session and speaker.
  • Manage onsite speaker-related activities.
  • Collaborate with team lead to address client requests, challenges, and improve efficiencies.
  • Lead team members on various projects as assigned.
  • Complete required platform training.
  • Manage the general mailbox for specific events, as needed.
  • Produce, analyze, and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
  • Assist in assessing work requirements to balance workloads within the project team.
  • Communicate horizontally and vertically to ensure alignment and transparency across teams.
  • Continuously seek improvements to systems and processes; share expertise and best practices with the team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on content-related tasks to ensure successful event execution.
  • Develop and manage a master timeline for project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure real-time updates to speaker and session records.
  • Oversee quality control throughout all phases of the project.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with event management platforms such as RainFocus or Cvent is a plus.
  • Adept with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable with and takes to technology quickly.  
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in event management, preferably within an agency environment.
  • A well-rounded event management background with specific experience managing speakers for large-scale programs.
