Position Description:
This role is ideal for a certified nursing professional with deep expertise in clinical documentation, coding audits, and healthcare revenue cycle optimization. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving operational performance and ensuring compliance and accuracy in coding and documentation practices.Qualifications and Skills:-BA/BS in Nursing required-Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist credential required-A minimum of 5 years of acute care hospital experience (ICU, Med/Surg, ER required)-Relevant experience in a project-based operations performance improvement role within a hospital/clinical setting hospital and/or consulting firm environment focused on healthcare provider operations and/or process re-engineering projects-Strong understanding of strategies and methodologies for enhancing revenue cycle operations, such as process redesign, technology enhancement, workflow automation, and performance management-Knowledge of various healthcare software packages and electronic health record systems (i.e.
EPIC, Cerner, MEDITECH, etc.).-Credential through AHIMA and/or AAPC such as CCS-P/CPC preferred but not required. Experience in using one or more audit tools, e.g. Audit Manager, Intellicode, MDAudit, etc
