What will you do?
Position Summary:
Astanza is looking to hire a salesperson to sell tattoo removal laser technology nationwide to correctional institutions, government entities, and non-governmental organizations.A significant portion of time will be spent responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ), finding new leads, and scheduling meetings with corrections personnel and non-profits with relevant missions. Examples include corrections and rehabilitation facilities with job training programs, community-focused non-profits/NGOs aiding in reentry and resettlement, and government agencies focused on helping veterans.
Astanza’s purpose is #changinglives, and the work of this position will be integral. A successful representative will have a hunter mentality, experience selling to not-for-profit organizations and agencies at the federal, state, and local level, and a strong desire to understand the science - and why - of laser technology. This person will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, trade shows, cultivating inbound leads, and other means.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is mostly to regional and national Corrections industry events and conferences within the United States. Up to 25% of time spent traveling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate and qualify new sales leads
- Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Attend trade shows and industry events
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to prospects, conferences, and key clients
- Maintain an understanding of government procurement rules and regulations
- Assist non-profits with grant writing and fundraising strategies
- Maintain and grow relationships and close sales
- Learn advanced technical laser product knowledge
- Perform laser demonstrations for potential customers
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
Who are we looking for?
Experience:
- Previous sales experience with corrections facilities, law enforcement, or similar
- Success and efficiency in responding to government RFPs
- Strong desire to learn about laser tattoo removal and other aesthetic procedures
- Ambitious and outgoing personality
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Persuasion skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision
- Comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations
Competencies & Skills:
- Self-starter and disciplined to cover assigned sales territory thoroughly through both cold-calling and lead prospecting activities
- Confident and skilled to develop new customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses the ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively across various departments
- Demonstrated capacity to sell a novel product with unique competitive advantages
- Communicate clearly and motivate customers to purchase
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to present and effectively communicate complex clinical and technical data to the audiences of various backgrounds and knowledge levels
- Salesforce and/or HubSpot or equivalent experience with CRMs
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, communications, or related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Availability to travel up to 25%
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to push/pull very heavy equipment on wheels/casters
- Ability to stand, lift, push/pull, bend, squat, stretch, reach, twist/turn, walk, and reach throughout the day, ability to work at a computer and sit and/or drive for extended periods frequently
