POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced EVA LabVIEW Engineer, who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom’s EVA team with the development, maturation, and operation of ground support LabVIEW software to support Axiom Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Spacesuit qualification and acceptance testing. This role will develop, iterate, and mature LabVIEW software for multiple testing environments (Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, etc.) by owning product delivery timelines through concept, design, demonstration, and execution.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programming the User Interface and NI cRIO real time/FPGA code using LabVIEW to test various systems for the Portable Life Support System.
- Developing, designing, and building electrical break-out boxes and cable harnessing for the Portable Life Support System test systems.
- Programming and creating wiring diagrams for various instrumentation including pumps, blowers, chiller carts, heaters, proportionally controlled valves, solenoid valves, pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTD’s, flowmeters.
- Programming and wiring for various signal types including 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, RS-485, RS-232, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, TTL, Discrete Input, Discrete Output.
- Creating, designing, and wiring the power distribution (24 VDC, 120-460 VAC) for the Portable Life Support System
- Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- 7+ years’ experience in LabVIEW programming or similar role preferred
- Strong understanding of space environments (grounding/bonding, thermal, vacuum)
- Experience in defining and implementing programing standards, processes, and practices
- Hands on experience building and testing with ground support hardware
- Experience designing complex systems that balance mass, cost, and capability
- Knowledge of NASA or commercial space program standards
- Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges

Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
