Suger is a revenue platform that helps our customers grow on the fastest-growing B2B sales channel: the cloud marketplaces of AWS, Azure, GCP, and Alibaba. Launched in 2022, we take the tech debt out of marketplace sales by providing an API-first approach to quote-to-cash and billing processes. We’re working with over 200 B2B customers, ranging from large enterprises like Snowflake and Intel to fast-growing startups like Glean and Vanta. This role combines full-cycle recruitment with day-to-day HR operations support.

You’ll partner with leaders to hire strong talent while ensuring smooth HR processes and compliance with Canada's basic employment standards. It’s a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys variety and can pivot comfortably between recruitment and operational work.This is a hybrid position, requiring 4 days in the office.We are a Series A startup, funded by top-tier investors, including Threshold VC, Craft Ventures, Intel Capital, and Y Combinator.

What You'll Do


  • Recruitment (Approx. 60%)
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from intake to offer across multiple functions, especially technical roles.
  • Advise hiring managers on talent market insights, sourcing strategies, and selection best practices.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct screening calls and coordinate interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
  • Maintain accurate data in the ATS and provide regular recruitment metrics.
  • Support employer branding and diversity recruiting initiatives.
  • HR Operations (Approx. 40%)
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Prepare employment agreements, letters, and documentation.
  • Maintain employee files and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support benefits administration, vacation tracking, and other day-to-day HR tasks.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on routine HR matters.
  • Assist with policy updates, annual reviews, and HR compliance work.
  • Coordinate training sessions, health & safety documentation, and HR reporting.

What You Need


  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment and/or HR operations.
  • Basic understanding of Employment Standards in BC and Ontario - including hours of work, leaves, vacation, termination basics, and payroll fundamentals.
  • Solid sourcing and interviewing skills in technical roles.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and ATS (e.g., Lever).
  • Strong communication, discretion, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
