Shock Technician

Summary:

• Dutiesinclude preparation and maintenance of shock components, as well as documenting shock combinations and set up.
• Responsible for testing shock performance and forutilizingshockdynamometerto adjust shocks to match desired specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following:

• Builds shocks and stop bumps in an efficient manner under critical time constraints.
• Usesshockdynamometer to adjust shocks to match desired specifications.
• Utilizes database to record measurements and trackcomponentmileage for reference.
• Assists Crew Chief inidentifyingthe best shock and bump stop combination for testing andutilizationduring race events.
• Assistsin the management of parts inventory relating to shocks.
• Ability tooperateand interpret shock dyno graphs.
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Constantly manuallymanipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less.
• Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder,squatsor kneels, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
