JOB SUMMARY:


To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by managing a effective team to provide quality services. Effectively supervise Behavioral Health Residential Service Workers in the BHID program. Ensure PATH’s mission and BHID program goals are consistently communicated with BHRSW. Promote and model teamwork between BHID clinical team and BHRSW staff. Ensure the team provides services and interventions consistent with individualized plans for each resident.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health Discipline.  
  • Prefer 2 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and a behavioral health diagnosis and 1 year experience of psychosocial rehabilitation with adults with BH or ID diagnoses. 
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in the provision of behavioral health and/or ID services and/or other human services. 
  • Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills, good knowledge of the Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities fields and Best Practices.
  • Active Driver's License and vehicle required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:


  • Provide assistance to the BHID Program Director to effectively operate the BHID residential program.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with Office of Developmental Programs Community Homes for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Regulations; 55 Code Chapter 6400; Chapter 51 Intellectual Disabilities Services, as well as CBH/DBH/NIAC requirements. 
  • Monitor residential sites to ensure the health and safety of residents.
  • Directly supervise assigned residential staff which includes regularly observing and providing feedback and training to staff to ensure their interactions with each resident are consistent with the individuals’ goals, uses techniques and approaches that positively supports individuals’ ISP as well as ODP’s Everyday Lives Philosophy. 
  • Interview applicants to fill staffing vacancies and recommend candidates for hire.
  • Conduct site orientation of new staff to assure staff are knowledgeable about residents needs and services. 
  • Assist program director with interviewing and evaluating individuals for entry into the program. 
  • Oversee admission of residents into the program and complete discharges as needed.
  • Ensure individuals gain access to needed psychiatric, medical, social, residential, financial, and other services appropriate for the individual.
  • Ensure individuals have access and availability to meaningful activities appropriate to their ability and interests and schedule opportunities for residents to engage in community integration activities in accordance with their ISP goals.
  • Facilitate recreational and/or psych rehab activities for residents with BHID clinical team.
  • In conjunction with the Director, hold weekly scheduling meetings to ensure appropriate coverage at all residential sites within the program.
  • Provide direct services as needed, especially during staffing vacancies.
  • Provide, on a rotating basis, BHID on-call support, 24 hours/7 days a week to provide advice to residential staff which includes responding to phone calls within 10 minutes and providing face-to-face intervention as indicated to resolve a crisis.
  • Attend monthly clinical team meeting to ensure cohesiveness between the clinical team and site staff. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


Minimal to moderate level of physical demand such as: ability to sit and stand for extended periods, lift at least 25 pounds, ability to perform CPR.
