Primarily responsible for all investment accounting entries for both GAAP and Statutory accounting, performing reconciliations of related ledger balances to source reports and custodian statements, and reporting on the investment portfolio composition and performance to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 1 year of experience in investment accounting
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
Primary Job Functions:
- Recording investment results monthly based on data from the investment manager/advisor
- Monthly reporting of portfolio positions and results to management.
- Reconciling ledger results to source information from the investment system and custodians.
- Preparing annual and quarterly Statutory investment schedules for all US-based insurance companies.
- Running periodic financial reports from the General Ledger system
- Monthly and quarterly analytics as assigned, including research of variances.
- Audit request tracking and support preparation/gathering.
- Other Ad-hoc requirements as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- Experience in investment accounting.
- Advanced Excel ability

- Insurance industry experience preferred
