About Our Search


As a member of the Hord Coplan Macht marketing team, the Marketing Manager will predominantly provide support to firm principals leading national business development initiatives for the firm. This is a full-time position in our Baltimore office.  The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive outlook, excels in a deadline-driven environment, is comfortable working with senior leadership, possesses the ability to work independently, and is experienced in delegating tasks.  

About the Position


The marketing manager’s general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide strategic support of Principal-led business development efforts including research. 
  • Collaborate with the Principals to improve the proposal and interview processes and help to establish a clear winning strategy and message.
  • Participate in interview preparation.
  • Point of contact for marketing Principals 
  • Manage and produce high-quality proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations.
  • Ensure all marketing collateral produced and distributed is consistent with and reflect the brand (proposals, qualifications, advertisements, interview materials, social media posts, conference session content, white papers, etc.)
  • Collaborates with the firm’s communications team on website, social media, and other strategic communications efforts. 
  • Collaborates with other marketing managers and marketing team members across studios.
  • Coordinate market sector conferences/tradeshows/advertising, etc.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

About You


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience (AEC industry)
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and/or experience with other areas of corporate communication, Deltek Vantagepoint is also desired but not required. 
  • Skilled writer with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, editing, and proofing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple, concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documents under deadline-driven environments.

Maryland Statement


The projected base salary for this full-time position is $85,000 - $115,000. Hord Coplan Macht’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, as well as the individual’s education, experience, and skill sets. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of HCM’s total compensation package for employees.
