What You’ll Experience
As a Model Risk intern at FHLBank, you’ll:
- Support the validation of financial and statistical models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze complex datasets and create clear visualizations and reports to inform decision-making.
- Research emerging trends and best practices in modeling methodologies.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as needed to support team objectives.
- Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively
- Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study
- Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking students who:
- Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies. Graduate students encouraged to apply!
- Are majoring in Financial Engineering/Mathematical Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative disciplines.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Work well independently and in team settings
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems
- Strong mathematical/statistical/machine learning background.
- Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
- Familiar with Power BI and either Markdown or HTML.
- Understanding of finance and financial models.
