If so, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank) invites you to apply for our 2026 Summer Internship Program!We’re looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment.
What You’ll Experience
As a Legal Intern at FHLBank, you’ll:
- Provide broad, general support to the FHLBI Legal team
- Assist bank attorneys across various practice areas, including:
- Member services (e.g., membership, credit, lending, and collateral issues)
- Vendor management (e.g., contract review and negotiation)
- Corporate governance (e.g., support for Board of Directors matters)
- Contribute to specialized legal projects as assigned by the General Counsel
- Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study
- Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry
- Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking students who:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor (JD) program
- Undergraduate degree in Business is a plus
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Work well independently and in team settings
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems
Program Highlights
- 10-week paid internship: Monday, June 1 to Friday, August 7
