About the Events Department
The Conference & Events Department at The Potter’s House plays a vital role in coordinating ministry gatherings, conferences, and special events that serve our congregation and community. The team ensures that every detail—from planning to execution—reflects excellence, organization, and hospitality.We are seeking a dedicated and organized Events Intern to support event planning, logistics, and execution across ministry programs. This internship provides hands-on experience in event coordination, vendor relations, and on-site operations, offering valuable exposure to professional event management in a faith-centered environment.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What You’ll Do
- Assist with event planning, setup, and logistics coordination for internal and external functions.
- Support registration, scheduling, and communication with guests, volunteers, and vendors.
- Assist in creating and distributing event materials, signage, and guest information.
- Participate in team meetings and walkthroughs to ensure readiness for upcoming events.
- Provide on-site support during live events, including check-in, guest assistance, and teardown.
- Help track event data, budgets, and post-event reports as needed.
- Uphold The Potter’s House standards of professionalism, hospitality, and confidentiality.

What You’ll Bring
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must submit two (2) non-family recommendation letters (teacher, pastor, or supervisor).
- Interest in event planning, hospitality, logistics, or project management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with event setup and breakdown.

Additional Details
- Duration: 12 weeks, up to 20 hours per week.
- Schedule: Flexible within standard business hours; occasional evening or weekend event support may be required.
