Responsibilities:
Write, shoot, and edit 6-8 vertical format videos for The Real Deal’s social media platforms per weekWork with TRD’s video and social leads to identify key stories and accurately pull out the most interesting details to craft exciting, engaging video contentWrite captions, create thumbnails, and analyze successes and missed opportunities among The Real Deal’s video stories
Qualifications:
Top candidates for this position will have a background as a content creator and/or new media journalistMust write sharp and witty scripts based on news stories, accurately identify the best candidates for video based on dozens of articles published each day on TheRealDeal.comMust demonstrate excellent editing skills with high proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar, including experience creating graphics and animations for short-form videoMust be knowledgeable of trends in top video-based social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram and TikTokMust have a strong understanding of journalism fundamentals. Knowledge of the real estate beat is helpful but not required
