About the Role: This position requires the individual to have a permanent remote office based within a 4-hour drive or 2-hour flight to the Oxford Atlanta HQ, and the ability to travel as needed (approx. 10%).
The IT Project Manager will manage technology projects and daily operations within Oxford IT. This role will primarily support our applications team and will collaborate with other IT teams—such as infrastructure, data, data security, and the technology teams within our brands—to ensure coordination of projects and programs. The incumbent will utilize project-management tools (including JIRA) to develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement. Expertise and experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies are essential to navigating our hybrid project environment.
- Project Leadership & Delivery:
- Manage multiple IT projects from initiation to post-implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality and budget targets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, risk management strategies, and performance reports.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and blockers to keep projects on track.
- Methodology & Team Management:
- Apply a combination of agile and waterfall methodologies to meet project needs, adapting the approach based on each project's requirements.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies—including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives—while managing structured phases for waterfall projects.
- Analyze project trends, capture lessons learned, and recommend improvements to project management processes and tools to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage team priorities and backlogs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate internal resources to meet project demands and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining project management processes and tools based on lessons learned.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals, priorities, and resources.
- Document and share project requirements, timelines, and risk to improve transparency and accountability.
- Technical & Business Alignment:
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure business needs are translated into technical specifications, so that project deliverables meet both functional and technical standards.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, testing, deployment planning, and the development of production support plans for smooth post-project transitions.

Who we would like to meet:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or another relevant field is preferred; however, candidates with equivalent professional experience and relevant certifications will be considered.
- Generally, 6+ years of IT project-management experience with a proven track record of managing projects within applications environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage both technical and business aspects of projects, employing both agile and waterfall methodologies in a hybrid environment
- PMP certification or an equivalent project-management certification is desirable.
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Proficient in project-management software, with proven experience using JIRA.
- Experience managing project budgets, ensuring cost control, and adjusting as needed to stay within financial constraints.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, change management, and process optimization.
