What We Are Looking For
We're seeking an IT Specialist to serve as a vital member of our IT team, delivering exceptional technical support while taking ownership of key IT projects. In this hands-on role, you'll split your time between resolving support requests, maintaining critical systems, and executing improvement initiatives that directly impact our organization.
Working closely with our IT Manager, you'll balance responsive end-user support with independent project execution. This position offers strong growth potential for someone who excels at both technical troubleshooting and driving meaningful improvements to our infrastructure. You'll handle everything from daily support tickets to implementing new tools and automating workflows—ensuring our team has the technology they need while continuously enhancing our IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
SaaS & Application Management
- Administer assigned SaaS applications including user provisioning, access controls, and license management
- Understanding of Google Context aware access monitor vs enforcement.
- Execute integration projects and optimize workflows across our 25+ application ecosystem
- Monitor usage, maintain documentation, and identify optimization opportunities
Device & Identity Management
- Manage MDM platform for device enrollment, configuration, and compliance
- Handle complete hardware lifecycle from procurement to secure decommissioning
- Execute SSO integrations and maintain role-based access controls
- Understanding of SAML, OIDC, MFA, Okta Auth policies
- Automate user provisioning workflows and conduct routine access audits
Security & Compliance
- Enforce MFA, perform access reviews, and monitor security dashboards (Sumo Logic)
- Follow incident response procedures and escalate security concerns appropriately
- Track software licenses, maintain asset inventory, and support compliance audits
- Ensure secure onboarding/offboarding processes and data handling
Infrastructure & Support
- Manage VPN (Tailscale), office networks, Wi-Fi, and conference room technology
- Execute backup procedures and participate in disaster recovery exercises
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across hybrid workforce
- Collaborate with DevOps on network configurations as needed
Service Delivery
- Primary responder for IT support via Slack, meeting SLAs (30-minute response, 4-hour resolution)
- Provide hands-on support for AV equipment, printers, and office technology
- Create and maintain IT documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- Deliver IT onboarding training and develop self-service resources
Continuous Improvement
- Identify patterns in support requests and implement systematic solutions
- Assist in evaluating and rolling out new tools and technologies
- Work with vendors for procurement, support, and issue resolution
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
What We Require
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar hands-on roles.
- Experience managing SaaS applications, device management, and troubleshooting across macOS and Windows.
- Familiarity with IAM/SSO concepts (Kandji, Jamf, Okta, or similar).
- Understanding of basic networking (VPN, firewalls, DNS, Wi-Fi).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for learning and willingness to grow into advanced IT responsibilities.
Nice to Have
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Exposure to fast-paced startup environments or distributed teams.
- Interest in AI/ML or supporting AI-native workflows.
- Experience contributing to IT environments that have scaled from 100 to 500+ employees (nice plus).
