The Senior Associate will gain broad exposure to investment accounting by contributing to the financial operations and reporting processes for the Firm’s registered investment products.Responsibilities:The Senior Associate will support various functions within the private credit investment accounting group, including:
- Participate in the execution of accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes for registered fund products.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting packages, as well as materials provided to the Fund Administrator.
- Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP, including preparation of supporting schedules and footnote disclosures.
- Coordinate with external service providers, including the Audit Firm, Fund Administrator, and Custodian Bank, to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Support the Tax team with data requests related to RIC and other tax compliance requirements.
- Contribute to financial analysis, data aggregation, and ad-hoc reporting projects as needed by internal Adams Street team members.
Requirements:We seek an individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and demonstrates strong technical and analytical skills, with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting is required.
- 3–6 years of relevant fund accounting experience, preferably within private equity, private credit, or fund administration.
- Experience with registered investment company (RIC) or business development company (BDC) accounting preferred.
- Exposure to public company financial reporting or related SEC filings is a plus.
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organization, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
