We are expanding into mortgage origination and hiring a team of Direct to Customer Mortgage Loan Officers. Because these are part of the founding roles, this will provide for growth opportunities as we scale the business. This is a salary plus commission role. We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, start-up oriented, and eager to sell and contribute to broader MLO operations. This role will be in our Jacksonville office, with some hybrid options over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of the company’s lead loan officers for SFR investor and consumer-purpose loans
- Handle inbound leads from marketing channels
- Own and manage the sales pipeline: generate leads, cultivate referral relationships, and foster high-quality opportunities
- Collaborate with partners and internal teams to structure and close loans
- Expand and manage relationships with repeat investor clients
- Handle inbound leads from marketing channels
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver fast, compliant closings
- Maintain high contact and conversion rates using CRM and automation tools
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator
- An active NMLS license is preferred.
- Proven track record originating DSCR/SFR investor loans
- Familiarity with POS and LOS systems
- Knowledge of underwriting standards and loan structuring best practices
- Proven closer with strong phone and consultative sales skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced lending environment is a strong plus
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and hit goals in a dynamic setting
