PCMI (Policy Claim Management International) is a fast-growing, leading provider of integrated software for Extended Warranty Management and Finance and Insurance (F&I) administration. We are a SaaS company that operates in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our 3 teams located in the US, Poland, and Thailand work collaboratively around the clock to build our PCRS platform that automates the full administration lifecycle of all extended warranties, F&I products, and service contracts for our customers.
Job Summary
The General Counsel will serve as the company’s primary advisor on all legal matters, guiding company policy to reflect legislative changes and statutory compliance. The company will rely on the general counsel’s expertise to help the company protect the interests of customers, shareholders, and employees, and to further the company’s mission and goals.
Essential Functions
- Work with Sales and Operations teams on contract design and changes
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Support in contract negotiations
- Work closely with Partnership team on third party agreements
- Partner with HR team on employee relations and employment matters
- Provide legal advice to the company's management and business development teams
- Assess company decisions with an eye toward expanding legal rights and mitigating risk
- Represent the company in legal matters and complex matters related to the law, such as public relations and ongoing regulatory compliance
- Support strategic initiatives like mergers, acquisitions, and new business lines from a legal perspective
- Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio and data privacy programs
- Manage all litigation and disputes with customers, including selecting and supervising outside counsel
- Update leadership on pertinent legislative and regulatory changes
- Communicate with outside counsel, clients, and regulatory agencies when needed
- Maintain a record of company legal documents

Supervisory Responsibilities
Education and Experience
- Juris Doctor degree
- Comprehensive knowledge of the law, such as corporate, contract and labor law
- Extensive experience with mergers & acquisitions
- Experience within the F&I and reinsurance industry
