About Our Search
Our Conshohocken, PA office is looking for a strong Designer to join the Education Market Sector. Our next team member will have excellent communication, design, graphic and visualization skills. This individual will manage, organize and coordinate with the design and technical project teams throughout the design process to successfully execute architectural projects.
About Our Market Sector
The Education school design is most effective when it actively supports and enriches school programs. Hord Coplan Macht’s designs have been informed by and are responsive to research, learning philosophy, community, and ultimately, the learners themselves. Spaces, both within and without, need to support the myriad of ways teaching and learning occur. Together, we work with our clients to integrate distinct programs and excellent design to create exceptional educational experiences.
About The Position
- Develop design concepts, narratives, 3D renderings, virtual reality presentations, etc. as needed to effectively convey design intent to clients
- Lead design-focused visioning sessions and presentations to clients, community groups, jurisdictional groups, architectural review boards, etc.
- Coordinate with interior designers, landscape architects, lighting designers and other consultant team members to facilitate successful integration of their design efforts with ours
- Collaborate, motivate, and communicate clearly and effectively with other team members
- Foster team building and mentor less-experienced colleagues
- Develop schematic design drawings for our projects
- Create technical detail sketches and recommend material selections for inclusion in construction drawings and specifications
About You
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture required
- Actively pursuing or has achieved professional accreditation and licensure
- 3-5 years of experience in the architectural field
- Effective communication skills
- Extensive design portfolio, with (insert project type) experience; (insert project type) experience a plus
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Strong design leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others
- Sets an example for team members through the spirit of cooperation
- Strong Revit skills
