Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, versatile technology leader to oversee our development, QA, DevOps, technical analysts, and production support center of excellence. This role requires deep experience across both legacy data center environments and modern cloud platforms, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in financial services, particularly retirement services. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can wear multiple hats - mentoring teams, driving delivery, and aligning technology with business strategy.
They must be comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed and have recent hands-on experience with technologies such as .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, Oracle Cloud, and Azure Cloud Services.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional technology teams including Development, QA, DevOps, technical analyst, and production support.
- Drive operational excellence across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Define and execute technology strategies that support business goals and innovation.
- Promote a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software projects with a focus on quality and scalability.
- Implement best practices in agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure system reliability, performance monitoring, and incident management.
- Foster collaboration across product, business, and engineering teams.
- Mentor team members and promote cross-training and career development.
- Manage defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution processes.
- Lead efforts to reduce technical debt and improve system stability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including oversight of Development, QA, DevOps, and Support functions.
- Recent hands-on experience with enterprise technologies including .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, Oracle Cloud, and Azure.
- Proven success in managing both legacy infrastructure and cloud-native environments.
- Experience in financial services, preferably retirement services or similar domains.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, software architecture, and ITIL or similar support frameworks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, PMP, or ITIL are a plus.
- Experience with External integrations with data feeds to aggregators.
- Experience with Record Keeping systems such as FIS FRP or Omni platforms is a strong advantage.
Remote Work Information

Compensation Information
The average salary for this position is expected to be between $165,000 and $215,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis. Other rewards and benefits may include: 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, paid-time off, etc.
