As a DevOps Technical Lead, you will drive the modernization and scalability of our software delivery pipelines and cloud environments.
You will lead key DevOps initiatives, improve our CI/CD capabilities, optimize observability and release reliability, and mentor engineering teams on DevOps best practices. You will guide technical direction while remaining hands-on — ensuring secure, resilient, and efficient operations as we continue to grow.
WhatYou’llAccomplish – Your Performance Objectives
Objective #1 – First 30 Days
- Complete onboarding and gain familiarity with our applications, CI/CD pipelines, environments, and DevOps tooling.
- Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and IT Support teams.
- Review current deployment workflows, monitoring platforms, and release management processes.
- Identify initial opportunities for reliability and automation improvements.
Objective #2 – First 90 Days
- Lead the enhancement of release pipelines to increase deployment success and reduce cycle time.
- Improve observability and incident response readiness with better logging, alerting, and dashboards.
- Support cloud security and resiliency improvements in collaboration with Security & Cloud teams.
- Begin mentoring junior team members through code reviews, task guidance, and DevOps coaching.
- Own delivery of at least one priority automation or platform improvement project.
Objective #3 – First 12 Months
- Deliver measurable improvements in:
- Deployment success rate and release frequency
- Application and infrastructure uptime
- Operational efficiency through automation
- Lead major modernization initiatives such as:
- Next-gen CI/CD strategy
- Unified monitoring and SLO-driven operations
- Shift-left security and release quality improvements
- Establish DevOps best practices and training to strengthen engineering capabilities company wide.
- Provide regular reporting on reliability, delivery performance, and DevOps maturity.
Requirements
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of efficient CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
- Drive reliability engineering practices including monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue prevention.
- Deliver key DevOps and infrastructure projects with accountability for timelines and outcomes.
- Mentor junior DevOps and engineering team members; guide technical execution and standards.
- Collaborate with application teams to improve deployment quality and reduce release risk.
- Enable secure DevOps operations including secrets management, image scanning, and compliance.
- Work with Cloud & IT teams on networking, identity, and infrastructure optimization.
- Improve documentation and operational procedures for consistent, scalable delivery.
Experience and Skills We Seek
- 5+ years DevOps / SRE / Build & Release engineering experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge in:
- CI/CD tooling (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
- IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
- Experience implementing monitoring platforms and incident response processes.
- Proven ability to mentor, influence teams, and lead technical project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS or Azure cloud certifications
- Kubernetes and DevOps-related certifications (CKAD, CKA, DevOps Pro)
- Security certifications beneficial (Security+, CCSP)
