Fictiv is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience running projects with a small team, extensive hands-on expertise with AWS, Linux based systems, debugging and writing code. From building a project plan to ensuring its successful implementation, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure, while also ensuring high availability, scalability, fail over and security.

Leveraging automation to scale Fictiv's infrastructure as we expand as a multi-regional global companyPlanning and executing projects leading small teams through the PDLCBe a matter expert to help the teams accelerate projects and unblock where neededDesign, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS servicesBuilding tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environmentPerforming infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtimeCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the DevOps lifecycle, Deployments, and ensure best practicesDrive initiatives to improve scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production environmentsMaintaining documentation of infrastructure, automation scripts, and operational processesSet up, manage, and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutionsAll employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS.

Travel Requirements


Up to 10 percent travel

10+ years of experience in a combination of DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Engineering5+ years of experience writing code with Python, NodeJS and shellExpert-level knowledge of AWS, including EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, S3, VPC, CodeBuild, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, etc.Strong hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Cloudformation, ECS, ECR, EKS, CDK, etc.Experience with building CI/CD pipelinesHands on experience with profiling tools and debugging applicationsDatabase performance and optimization experienceStrong understanding of security best practices in AWSFamiliarity with monitoring/logging tools and techniquesExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHaving managed teams is a plus
