The Claims Analytics Manager is responsible for building a robust set of analytics tools to drive operational efficiency and sophistication in the Claims organization. You’ll work at the intersection between the data and the business, working closely with Claims leadership to understand business needs and practices and designing analyses and reporting to support data-driven business decisions. The Claims Analytics Manager will be responsible not only for ensuring core reporting is accurate and actionable, but also for driving us to go deeper both in depth and breadth of analysis. This role will also provide insights to partners in Actuarial, Underwriting, and the broader executive team. The role reports to the VP, Program Insights, and requires a keen understanding of P&C claims, strong data analytics skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-departmental teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Candidate should have 5+ years of P&C claims analytics or related experience
Primary Job Functions:
- Provide executive-level support directly to Claims, Actuarial, and Underwriting leadership.
- Design, code, and execute analyses, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the data.
- Conduct complex analyses to drive and support business decisions, leveraging industry and competitor data to provide a complete picture of the competitive landscape.
- Document processes and challenges, making recommendations to IT partners to prioritize data enhancements that will improve claims insights.
- Manage project timelines, regularly updating leadership and stakeholders on project progress.

Skills & Competencies Required:
- Advanced knowledge of analytic tools (Python, SQL) and data manipulation (Python, SQL, Snowflake, etc.
- Familiarity with P&C insurance and claims processes and a desire to become an expert in the Fortegra claims operation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to troubleshoot imperfect data.
- Strong business acumen, including data analysis, critical thinking, business analysis, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
