Lime is seeking a Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Japan. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing the strategy to build and scale Lime’s parking presence. You will work closely with key partners, including the Country Manager, the global Business Development team, and the Operations and Government Relations teams.This is a highly collaborative role where you will help manage a team of contractors focused on driving parking port acquisition. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented and innovative thinker who excels in a fast-paced startup environment.

You’re a proactive problem solver with a bias for action, capable of balancing daily execution with broader strategic goals.

What you’ll do:


  • Manage the execution and reporting for the parking port acquisition strategy in Japan, including onboarding and account management.
  • Develop and implement scalable sales tactics to acquire parking ports for Lime vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the global Business Development team to support the negotiation of competitive deals.
  • Manage daily and weekly performance metrics and compensation schemes for non-badged sales representatives from our agency partners.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, including sales performance and market trends, to help refine the port acquisition strategy.
  • Prepare and present market analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations to the Country Manager and leadership team.
  • Support the growth of new revenue streams, such as vehicle advertising and B2B partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the US Business Development team to support and expand Lime's Uber integration in Japan.

About you:


  • Bilingual in Japanese and English, with advanced business-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills required.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a strategic sales, sales operations, or partnership role with a background in sales acquisition strategies.
  • People management experience, including the management of external non-badged sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing various sales channels and partners, with the ability to prioritize short- and long-term goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and driving contracts to closure.
  • Passionate about mobility, sustainability, and Lime’s mission to create a future of transportation that is shared, affordable, and carbon-free.
