- Oversee and integrate all artistic, production, logistics and personnel of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts.
- Work closely with President and CEO, Music and Artistic Director, orchestra musicians and guest artists, local and global partners, administrative staff and other departments, to ensure highest artistic quality and operational excellence in all performances, productions, and special projects across three venues and domestic and international touring.
- Serve as a key strategic partner, balancing artistic vision with financial sustainability, managing relationships with orchestra personnel and multiple union employees, and creating an environment for successful production logistics and audience engagement.
- Oversee annual series of orchestra concerts and programs, touring, labor negotiations, government relations and grant writing, and planning and implementation of Orchestra’s calendar and artistic vision.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration and 4 years of experience in position offered or as an Executive Director or Director at a professional orchestra.
- All required experience must have included leading artistic operations and production, directing a team of at least 5 people, working directly with orchestra musicians, overseeing an annual series of orchestra concerts and programs, coordinating touring, labor negotiations, government relations and grant writing, and leading planning and implementation of Orchestra’s calendar and artistic vision.
