Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Representative plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming payments and adherence to accounts receivable policies. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams and consistent engagement with agencies to manage account balances, resolve outstanding issues, and support agency operations. The representative is expected to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Ongoing communication with the Assistant Manager is essential to promote continuous development, operational efficiency, and overall success within the department
Duties and Responsabilities
- Assist with the daily processing and application of deposits.
- Monitor the assigned portfolio of agencies regularly to ensure timely follow-up on past-due accounts.
- Conduct collection calls to resolve outstanding balances and maintain healthy account status.
- Manage and deactivate inactive agencies as needed, following internal procedures.
- Provide real-time support to agencies by actively responding to inquiries via phone and chat.
Information Security Responsibilities: - Read, acknowledge and comply with Viamericas Staff Information Security Policy via the Information Security training portal. This should be done within 30 days of hire and repeated annually.
- Attend periodic Information Security training provided by Viamericas’.
- Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident: clicked on a malicious link, downloaded and opened a suspicious file, etc.
Qualifications
- Educational background in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a sense of responsibility and sound decision-making abilities.
- Experience in customer service, including managing challenging client interactions.
