Full-timeDescriptionVydia is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to play a key role in shaping our strategic investments and financial operations. In this position, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance, you will dive into client and industry data to uncover trends and opportunities, supporting high-impact business decisions. You will contribute to deal evaluation, track transaction performance post-close, and prepare insightful presentations for senior management and our parent company’s executive team, giving your work visibility and influence at the highest levels.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in finance, accounting, or investment analysis, with advanced financial modeling skills and a sharp eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities


  • Analyze client and industry data to identify high-value investment opportunities and strategic initiatives that drive company growth
  • Perform rigorous financial analyses for complex transactions, including strategic investments, joint ventures, acquisitions, content catalog investments, and large client cash advances
  • Present in-depth transaction insights to senior management, parent company executives, and the Board of Directors, supporting informed and strategic “go/no-go” decisions
  • Collaborate with the transaction team to structure, evaluate, and refine deal terms, assist in negotiations, and monitor performance post-close to ensure value realization
  • Maintain and update detailed monthly analyses, tracking financial statement trends, operational KPIs, cash advance performance, and other critical business metrics
  • Play an active role in the annual budgeting process, helping align financial planning with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to provide timely insights that support executive decision-making and key business initiatives

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 3–5+ years of relevant analytical experience
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with advanced financial modeling and spreadsheet proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting analyses and recommendations to senior management and executives

Nice-to-Haves


  • Experience in investment banking or private equity
  • Experience in music industry finance or a solid understanding of the current music industry landscape
  • Familiarity with deal structuring, joint ventures, acquisitions, or content catalog investments
