Position Overview
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Maintenance Engineer to join our team, supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal clients.In this role, you’ll take ownership of maintaining and optimizing Palo Alto’s Prisma Cloud platform across complex, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments. You’ll serve as the point person for sustaining the performance, reliability, and security posture of Prisma Cloud integrations—bridging cloud operations and DevSecOps automation.This is an opportunity to apply both software delivery and cybersecurity principles to ensure mission-critical systems remain secure, scalable, and continuously compliant.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the Prisma Cloud Console (SaaS or self-hosted) and deploy Defenders/Enforcers across VMs, containers, and serverless workloads in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Continuously tune and update rules for runtime protection, vulnerability management, compliance (NIST, CIS, PCI DSS), and network segmentation.
- Maintain and expand integrations between Prisma Cloud and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) to enforce security earlier in the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues; perform root-cause analysis to ensure stable, scalable deployments.
- Document architectures, configuration baselines, and lessons learned for future automation and knowledge transfer.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal delivery squads and client teams to sustain platform health post-deployment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline —or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years implementing and maintaining cybersecurity tools in enterprise or federal settings.
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), container security, and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with Prisma Cloud or similar security platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain complex systems.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which they are hired (e.g., must reside in the U.S., Security Clearances)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud or XSIAM.
- Understanding of Agile frameworks such as SCRUM or SAFe in multi-squad delivery environments.
- Background in DevSecOps, compliance automation, or continuous authorization.
- Prior experience supporting or optimizing federal security platforms.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 (DOE and project-specific details)
