Specific Job Requirements:
- Ownership of accounting & analysis for certain key balance sheet accounts for Ouster Inc and its subsidiaries. Specifically, prepaid assets, advances and deposits, fixed assets, intangible assets, leases, and other assigned areas.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing duties, including preparing journal entries, variance reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare schedules and support the quarterly reviews/year-end audit with external auditors for the areas assigned.
- Prepare, submit and record VAT and withholding for Thailand entity
- Review B/S and P/L for the Thailand entity
- Participate in process improvements and the development and implementation of internal controls.
- Assist in ad-hoc reporting and other special projects as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus 5 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or large national firm) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA (or equivalent) is a plus
- Strong GL experience, specifically fixed asset management is preferred
- Fluent in English and ability to work with the US accounting team team in US PST time (as needed)
- Ability to assess and recommend improvements for processes and procedures willingness to learn new concepts and work with teammates to find solutions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills both orally and in writing
- Strong organization skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High-energy self-starter, able to work autonomously, identify, suggest and implement areas for improvement
- Experience in NetSuite system a plus
