Position Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on maintenance and support to the warehouse operations including: executing the preventative maintenance program, completing equipment repairs and maintenance, supporting outside vendor repairs, assisting with operational projects and minor building repairs, maintaining records for maintenance tracking, spare parts inventory, & vendor work orders.Specifically, the Facility Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining warehouse automation equipment, including conveyor, robotics, powered industrial trucks, manual material handling equipment, and dock door equipment to support the production environment of our Hubs. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will maintain the building systems as needed, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, in coordination with the property management company and schedule vendors to correct issues.
The Facilities Supervisor will oversee, identify, and onboard local third-party vendors as needed to support facilities work and installation projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure ongoing operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements for conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, dock door equipment, and automation systems and components.
- Ensure the facility is operated and maintained in alignment with established standards and procedures. Further develop standards and procedures as business and customer needs evolve.
- Contribute to a building that is presentable, clean, and safe
- Oversee janitorial contractor’s day-to-day activities on site.
- Build a working understanding of day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
- Be capable of following diagrams, manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, make modifications and repairs, also, document findings for reference.
- Locate and troubleshoot sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Diagnose, repair, and install electronic or electro-mechanical equipment such as circuit breakers, fuses, or proximity switches.
- Control downtime by informing the operation Leaders and specialists of routine preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with operations management to develop and implement maintenance plans and make suggestions to improve the plans in place.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
- Schedule and work with third-party contractors/vendors engaged in operating and maintaining equipment and the property.
- Contribute to an amazing work culture by integrating feedback and ideas from the specialist population.
Education and Experience, Required Skills/Abilities
- Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field or provide 5 years of working history with references.
- 3+ years of related experience in facilities maintenance of comparable size, complexity, and pace.
- Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, its usage, and safety procedures, in particular, material handling conveyor.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing components in electrical control panels and reading and interpreting schematics.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented individual.
- Learns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
- Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude and takes responsibility for self-performance.
- Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently and excellent at following direction.
- Must have a flexible schedule, available to work on call for occasional emergency situations.

- Computer experience required. Must have operating knowledge of Microsoft products, to include: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and 30 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Working knowledge of General Building Codes.
- Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program or technical licensure.
- Experience with maintenance/support for automation or robotics.
