You’ll manage our social media presence, lead multi-channel campaigns, support impactful partnerships, and play a key role in how we grow our national audience and deliver programs to communities. Reporting into the Foundation Director, this role is responsible for helping to execute the overall marketing strategy for the Foundation and ensure a cohesive and compelling unified experience across channels and touchpoints.Please note - This is a fixed-term 12 month contract… with plenty of opportunity to make a significant impact! This role may be renewed at the end of the term.
In this role, you will:
- Help lead marketing campaign development and execution of our marketing strategy, including across digital, email, and social media channels to grow program reach and youth awareness.
- Manage our social media presence, conceptualizing, scheduling, and publishing engaging content, managing our ambassador network, social community management, and identifying opportunities to amplify our impact.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders at both the Foundation, and Wealthsimple, to create effective marketing content, including newsletters, web copy, social media posts, video content, among others.
- Conduct market research and audience analysis to identify trends, assess community needs, and inform marketing and programming strategy.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, using data to optimize outreach efforts and report on audience growth, engagement, and impact.
- Represent Wealthsimple Foundation with authenticity and cultural awareness at community events, conferences, and external engagements.
- Manage multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work on tight timelines.
- Help manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Stay up to date on marketing trends, tools, and technologies including AI platforms to keep our strategies fresh and effective.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 2–3 years of hands-on experience in marketing, with a focus on digital-first content, social media, and community engagement.
- Has a proven track record of growing an audience/following on social media.
- Is a self-starter with a test-and-learn mindset. You're not afraid to try new things, learn from the data, and continuously improve.
- Has a degree or diploma from a Canadian university or college, ideally in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Community Development, or Social Sciences).
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented, you can juggle logistics and deadlines across multiple campaigns and activations.
- Has lived experience in Canada’s public education system and can meaningfully relate to the communities we serve.
- Design experience is a plus! (Figma, Canva knowledge specifically)
