Trueline is seeking a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Project Engineer to join their team in New Haven, CT. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and civil designs, overseeing installations from review through commissioning.

What You'll Do as the MEP Project Engineer:


  • Review and interpret architectural, civil, and MEP drawings to develop coordinated installation plans
  • Collaborate with design teams to adapt MEP solutions based on evolving site conditions
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and change order evaluations
  • Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of MEP systems
  • Perform site inspections to maintain safety and compliance with local codes and standards
  • Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during construction phases
  • Prepare and present progress updates, technical documentation, and final project reports

MEP Project Engineer Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of MEP project engineering experience on construction sites
  • Strong ability to interpret multidisciplinary design drawings and specifications
  • Solid project management skills, including software proficiency
  • Excellent communication and collaborative problem?solving abilities

Nice to Haves as the MEP Project Engineer:


  • Experience working closely with architectural and civil engineering teams
  • Familiarity with local New Haven building codes and commissioning processes
  • PMP or relevant professional certification
