The Role:
The
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test
is responsible for automating the testing of both new and existing products and components. This role involves mentoring colleagues, providing technical guidance, and leading the development of automated testing frameworks. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure thorough testing of our products, prioritize test automation for maximum impact, and implement best practices in testing.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Contribute to and advocate for our test strategy;
- Be an active part of our test automation forum;
- Provide technical leadership for test automation and mentor colleagues;
- Understand our products thoroughly to be able to prioritize and to mediate risks related to code quality;
- Design and implement automation frameworks and test infrastructure to support development teams with automated test solutions;
- Design, implement, and manage automated tests;
- Collaborate closely with our teams and Product Owners to assess and advise on testability during the planning phase, and advocate for automation in feature development;
- Work with our teams to increase and improve automated testing;
- Present solutions with recommendations to ensure maximum impact while effectively communicating with team members, across teams and with all levels of leadership;
- Take responsibility for developing your skills to stay up to date within your area of expertise.

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with software test automation and QA;
- Proficient in object oriented programming and strong ability to work in other languages as needed (e.g. java, C#, Python)
- Strong experience in SQL queries;
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members;
- Strong experience developing robust test automation and supporting tools;
- Expertise in managing risks related to code quality;
- Demonstrated passion for quality in both the automated solutions and the product;
- Ability to manage and adapt to change positively;
- Proven ability to build trust and influence within a team to drive successful delivery throughout the software development life cycle;
- Experience with Agile Development Practices.
