Accounting Manager
📍 Sorrento Valley, San Diego, CA (Hybrid)🕒 Full-Time | Direct Hire💼 CPA Firm – Tax, Accounting, Advisory ServicesOur client, a small but growing CPA firm in Sorrento Valley, is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations and support a wide range of clients. This role is primarily focused on bookkeeping and financial reporting, managing a team of accountants, and helping clients clean up and maintain accurate records.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy variety in your day, and are comfortable working with both small businesses and large corporations, this could be a great next step.What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily bookkeeping operations for 100+ clients
- Supervise and support a team of 3 staff accountants
- Oversee client financials, sales tax filings, and compliance documentation
- Migrate clients from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online
- Work directly with clients to clean up and maintain accounting systems
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong skills in QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Highly prefer CPA or EA
- Experience managing multiple clients (CPA firm preferred)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with 1099 and sales tax reporting is a bonus
