A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Power BI Analyst to design, build, and maintain operational dashboards and analytics that power decisions for Customs Border Protection network services. The Power BI Analyst will translate business questions into data models and visualizations that reveal trends, risks, and performance against SLAs.
This role requires strong data modeling skills, proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and executive audiences.Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements and translate into semantic models, datasets, and dashboards tailored to operations leadership needs.
- Design and maintain Power BI reports for availability, incidents, problems, changes, capacity, and call‑center metrics (e.g., AWT/RONA/abandon).
- Develop DAX measures and calculations, optimize model performance and refresh pipelines, ensure data quality and lineage.
- Integrate data from ticketing, monitoring, inventory/CMDB, and telephony systems, document sources and assumptions.
- Automate weekly/monthly KPI packs and PMR decks; provide ad‑hoc analysis on trends, outliers, and root‑cause signals.
- Enable self‑service analytics and provide user training and job aids; maintain governance and access controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years in BI/data analysis with substantial experience in Microsoft Power BI (modeling, DAX, visualization).
- Advanced SQL skills; experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources and validating data accuracy.
- Strong analytical storytelling skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for required CBP background clearance.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Certification: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent).
- Experience building operational and executive dashboards in mission‑critical or federal environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL metrics and network operations datasets (incidents, problems, changes, capacity).
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000.
