ABOUT THE POSITION:

TPUSA seeks a Membership Coordinator to join our Development team in Phoenix, AZ, and contribute to the strategic management and general operations of the Development division—ultimately helping TPUSA, its leadership, and fundraising team reach revenue goals and continue to execute the TPUSA mission and vision. The Membership Coordinator is a critical member of TPUSA’s fundraising team, contributing to the strategic activities of TPUSA’s fundraising program, including—but not limited to—general division operations, donor relations, data processing, and special initiatives. This is an entry-level position.
The candidate must have a personal passion for the principles of freedom, fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government, as well as be able to advocate persuasively for these ideas. The qualities that this position requires are strong organizational/operational skills, attention to detail, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and an achievement-oriented personality to drive new initiatives. The ideal candidate, though not necessary, will have previous involvement in libertarian or conservative organizations—or even be an alumni of TPUSA’s campus program.Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working closely with the Membership Administrator and Manager and other key department personnel to achieve advancement department’s goals.
  • Providing donor support via phone and email, including updating credit card information, addresses and referring to other team members, if needed.
  • Assisting with all fundraising programs that include direct response, donor communications, gift processing, events, and the systems/database required to support these efforts.
  • Coordinating and executing special initiatives and projects assigned by the Manager and Director.
  • Tracking and reporting progress on all development division projects and initiatives, as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining Advancement processes, procedures, and division-wide policies
  • Helping to fulfill promotional items and donor club initiatives.
  • Assisting with TPUSA’s strategy for donor events, marketing, and direct response
  • Using Clickup to track numerous interactions with donors.
  • Thorough record keeping and data entry for accounts in donor database, Virtuous CRM.
  • Interacting with donors (cultivation) on an as needed basis.
  • Traveling periodically for events.
  • Other duties (TPUSA has an all hands on deck culture and the Membership Administrator may help with productions, events, and other activities as needed).

  • Effectively reports updates and progress to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to locations as needed.

“WOW!” SKILLS


  • Have past/present involvement in conservative youth organizations, experience starting campus organizations and/or, leadership experience in conservative youth organizations is an added plus, but is not necessary;
  • Have working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat;
  • Have knowledge of Virtuous or other donor databases (CRMs).

This position is located at TPUSA Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. You will need to have your own accommodations for the entirety of employment. Employees are required to have a valid driver's license, a reliable mode of transportation, and proof of insurance when applicable. Employees are also required to pass a background check.
