Position Overview:We are seeking a talented Production Development professional to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This role oversees the end-to-end development process for Greyson Clothiers’ men’s and boys’ product lines. This role ensures the creation of innovative, high-quality products that reflect the brand’s values and market positioning. The ideal candidate  has manager to director level experience, highly organized, detail-oriented, and has managed the product lifecycle from concept through production.

 Key Responsibilities:Product Development & Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the development process from design concept to production approval.
  • Collaborate with design, merchandise, and production teams to ensure product alignment with seasonal strategies.
  • Create and manage product development calendars to meet key milestones.
  • Oversee the sampling process, including prototype reviews and fit sessions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Partner with QA team to ensure products meet quality, performance, and compliance standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and E-commerce, to support product launches.
  • Provide product knowledge and technical insights to internal teams.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication to resolve development challenges.

PLM Support:  


  • Support the implementation and adoption of a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system during a key phase of rollout.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Design, Merchandising, Production, and IT) to ensure a smooth transition to the new PLM platform.
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and training related to new system processes.
  • Help identify workflow improvements as the business integrates PLM into daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate data and product information within both legacy and new systems during the transition period.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product development within the fashion or apparel industry
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, from concept to production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
  • PLM experience as well as NetSuite is a plus
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing materials
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Passion for product innovation and a keen eye for design and quality
  • Salary commensurate with experience 

This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days required on-side in our downtown Detroit offices. All candidates must reside in the Detroit Metro Area.
