Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, this individual will be a key contributor in assuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial accounting close to report cycle all while maintaining strict adherence to internal company policies and GAAP. This role offers an opportunity for professional growth and development within our organization, with the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in many areas of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Track and analyze the Prepaid Expense function from initial recording of related invoices through monthly amortization in accordance with proper recognition timing
  • AP accrual process of recording expenses that have been incurred but not yet billed by the company monthly
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, and record related journal entries, all while maintaining proper internal control documentation
  • Support the Senior Manager of Accounting with special projects, process improvements and audit requests as needed

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of accounting experience within a fast-moving GL close cycle
  • CPA or CPA eligible track
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft suite; strong proficiency in Excel including pivot tables; NetSuite and Concur experience a plus
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices, procedures, and internal controls accounting
