Cliff Berry, Inc. has an exceptional part-time (temporary/seasonal) opportunity for a qualified Lab Technician at our Miami plant.The Lab Technician will support laboratory operations by preparing chemical solutions, conducting wet chemistry testing on incoming waste and finished products, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements. This position provides critical support to maintain plant quality standards while gaining valuable industry experience.

Essential Functions

  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring safety is the number one priority.
  • Collect, analyze, and record data on incoming and outgoing products, water, and waste streams.
  • Perform sampling and testing per ASTM standards.
  • Accurately maintain records, logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Enter analytical data into SAP and maintain trackers for incoming loads.
  • Assist in ordering and organizing laboratory supplies.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and perform basic preventive maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Interpret test results, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Safely handle and store chemicals, reagents, and solutions while maintaining inventory.
  • Support R&D testing and evaluation as directed by the Lab Manager.
  • Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Science with a concentration in Chemistry or Biology and 1 year of wet-lab experience; or
  • Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology with at least 2 years of QA/QC laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior environmental industry experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

  • Self-motivated with strong follow-up skills.

Physical Demands


  • Ability to lift 20 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment


This position requires working in a laboratory and plant environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. Compliance with all company, federal, state, and local safety regulations is mandatory.
