Job Description


The SVP, Valuations will independently research industry and market trends, identify key performance drivers. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail-orientated, and able to analyze data and convey conclusions effectively.

Responsibilities


  • Identify/communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to our business.
  • Coordinate all activities and materials of the Antares Valuation Committee, Operating Committee, Executive Committee and Board reporting as required.
  • Communicate across functions including deal originations and credit teams.
  • Synthesize all available data, support/challenge and reconcile conclusions.
  • Assume a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modeling and present findings via reports and presentations in a concise manner.
  • Possess expert knowledge of financial markets and products with a quantitative background suitable for critical evaluation.
  • Running the valuation model and perform back testing and stress testing as applicable.
  • Research and understand credit market practices relating to valuation issues.
  • Interface with portfolio managers, investment teams, and other internal stakeholders on valuation matters.
  • Manage and mentor valuation team members, fostering professional development and a strong team culture.
  • Lead enhancements and ongoing changes to procedures, tools, systems and valuation methodologies as required.
  • Partner and manage relationships with the 3rd party Valuation Firms to ensure high quality of service.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to various valuations related projects, as required, such as ad hoc Regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, etc.
  • Lead, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers throughout Antares.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business and 8 to 12 years of related work experience.
  • At least 6 years of direct experience utilizing Valuation techniques and methodologies (Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, Market Comparable, etc.) within a private credit asset management, or national valuation firm preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Financial Modeling including experience building models from scratch and leveraging technology or 3rd party. valuation software is a plus.
  • Experience conducting Valuations for tax planning purposes and/or interval funds highly desired.
  • Finance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA, ASA, etc. preferred.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
