• The Finance & Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations of social.plus.
• This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage financial records, assist with budget preparation, and support overall financial planning and analysis.

Your team:

• The Finance Team at social.plus is a diverse group of professionals with varying levels of experience and specialized skills to manage the financial health of a rapidly growing company. They are based in Thailand, the United Kingdom and Italy.
• We use the latest tools for cloud accounting and automation- the current primary financial software is Xero.
• You will report to the Finance Director.
• The finance team works closely with other departments like Sales, Engineering and HR to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Fast-paced, innovative, and sometimes informal culture of a tech scale-up, with a strong focus on efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Handle administrative tasks related to finance, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
• Prepare and submit VAT and withholding tax filings, including PP36, PND54, PND53, and PP30, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Track, organize, and maintain complete accounting documentation—such as receipts, invoices, and tax-related documents—ensuring accuracy and proper filing.Perform other finance-related ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Your ideal profile:

• Post graduate with 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must speak English.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets is ideal.
