Description


CED Systems is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented RF Walk Test Technician to join our deployment team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about wireless technologies and enjoys working in a dynamic, hands-on environment.As an RF Walk Test Technician, you will be responsible for conducting walk tests to evaluate wireless network performance, including coverage, signal strength, and quality. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering and project teams to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Perform on-foot RF walk tests to assess wireless network performance.
  • Measure and document signal strength, coverage, and quality using specialized equipment.
  • Analyze collected data and collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve network issues.
  • Use tools such as WINd, TEMS, and XRO for testing and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and submit timely reports.
  • Support network optimization efforts through detailed feedback and analysis.

Additional Responsibilities:


In addition to core walk test duties, this role may include other operational and support tasks based on project needs. These may include:

  • Assisting with the movement and organization of materials in storage or warehouse facilities.
  • Coordinating and executing the return of decommissioned equipment.
  • Supporting project managers with ad hoc tasks related to deployment, logistics, or site readiness.
  • Participating in site surveys and assisting with basic installation or troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company standards during field operations.

Requirements


  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RF Walk Test Technician or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless network technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with walk test tools and software (e.g., WINd, TEMS, XRO).
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field as needed.
