Responsibilities
● Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.● Architect and build high-performance React applications for Benzinga Pro, Benzinga.com, and emerging financial tools.● Drive adoption of modern frontend practices: TypeScript, Next.js, and efficient state management (e.g., React Query or Context API).● Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, product, and design teams to define and deliver impactful features.● Optimize performance, scalability, and accessibility across our web applications.● Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development—while ensuring robust, maintainable, and human-reviewed code.● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment workflows.● Debug production issues and proactively improve stability and observability.● Participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and product ideation.
Requirements
● 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.● Proven experience leading teams or significant projects in a production environment.● Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.● Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks for server-side rendering and routing.● Familiarity with testing tools like Jest and React Testing Library.● Strong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility standards, and modern build tools (e.g., Turbopack, Vite, Webpack).● Comfort collaborating in a fast-paced, agile environment with CI/CD pipelines.● Bonus experience with: ○ Financial markets or fintech products.
○ Kubernetes, SQL (MySQL/Postgres), or MongoDB. ○ Feature flags, A/B testing, or observability tools. ○ Startup or entrepreneurial experience.● Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
