Job Summary:
The Senior Principal Sales Trainer will play a pivotal role in the success of our commercial organization by developing and executing training programs that elevate the performance, clinical fluency, and customer engagement skills of our field sales team. This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging onboarding experiences, continuous learning initiatives, and advanced training modules aligned with business objectives and product launches.In addition to leading training content creation, this role will spend time in the field conducting field rides, and assessing representative capabilities to ensure our training strategy meets our client’s needs.
This position will serve as a strategic partner to Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Medical Affairs, ensuring field readiness and consistency in messaging.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A total of 10 years industry experience preferred. This includes 2+ years of sales training experience in the genetics industry, as well as previous field sales or clinical experience.
- Experience in rare disease and/or neurology is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver comprehensive new hire onboarding programs, virtual and in-person
- Conduct regular field rides to assess sales rep capabilities, provide live coaching, and gather insights from clients
- Develop and update training content to support product launches, sales methodology, objection handling, and compliance
- Analyze sales performance data and training feedback to identify skill gaps and drive targeted development
- Facilitate workshops, virtual sessions, and national/regional training events
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to ensure alignment of clinical messaging and field enablement tools
- Support certification and readiness assessments for new and tenured reps
- Champion a continuous learning culture that supports both individual and team growth

- Must be proficient with MS Office, Salesforce, Tableau, LMS systems and Articulate.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (some weekend travel included) and perform on site activities required.

- Regular use of computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- May be required to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
