Your Role:


We are seeking a Student Affairs Coordinator to join our Florence team. This role works closely with the Senior Coordinator of Student Affairs and the Program and Student Services (PASS) Director to ensure the well-being, safety, and cultural engagement of our students abroad. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young adults, proactive in handling student concerns, and enthusiastic about connecting students to Italian and Florentine culture.

What You’ll Do:


  • Support student well-being through health, safety, and wellness resources.
  • Assist students experiencing challenges related to health, mental health, housing, or other personal concerns.
  • Accompany students to appointments when necessary and follow up on care or support.
  • Contribute to orientation sessions and wellness programming.
  • Help organize student arrivals, excursions, and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Student Services, Housing, and Academic Affairs to provide holistic student support.
  • Foster inclusivity and community integration.
  • Participate in the emergency phone rotation.

What Makes a Great Candidate:


  • Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written).
  • Authorization to work in Italy.
  • Experience working with young adults; background in study abroad or higher education preferred.
  • Sensitivity and awareness regarding student mental health issues; prior training or experience in mental health support is strongly valued.
  • Knowledge of Florence and local cultural resources.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or (rarely) on weekends.
