Network Automation Architect | Strategic Technical Leader

As a Network Automation Architect, you'll lead solution design for our most strategic customers while mentoring a team of talented engineers. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with business acumen and leadership excellence.
Your Impact at Itential:
As our Network Automation Architect, you'll be the strategic technical leader who designs transformational solutions for enterprise customers. Your deep multi-domain expertise will guide implementations across firewall automation, load balancer orchestration, site provisioning, and compliance frameworks. You'll mentor a team of Network Automation Engineers, fostering their growth while ensuring project excellence. As a recognized subject matter expert in Itential products, you'll drive innovation and establish best practices that become industry standards.
You'll partner with sales and product teams to craft compelling technical strategies and influence our product roadmap based on market insights. Your leadership will directly impact customer ROI and success.

Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, telecommunication, computer science, or equivalent experience required
Experience:
- 7+ years in a customer-facing network automation role, ideally within a professional services or consulting setting required
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Ansible, Linux, Python Scripting, Jinja2, REST APIs, JSON, SSH
- Understanding of network devices and configurations across Firewalls, switches, routers, cloud networks, load balancers, etc. With vendors such as: Palo Alto, F5, Cisco, Arista
- Familiar with infrastructure and change management platforms such as: Infoblox, NetBox, ServiceNow
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with clients
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach in identifying and delivering automation opportunities
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to delivering quality solutions
Technical Requirements:
- Confluence, Jira, Git, Pipelines
Certifications/Licenses:
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in networking, cloud, or automation
Experience:
- Knowledge of Terraform and cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with enterprise architecture and solution design
- Background in leading technical teams or complex implementations
Skills:
- Thought leadership and public speaking experience
- Strong business acumen and customer relationship management
