Highly motivated and innovative research associate with molecular biology experience to support development of Omega Bio-tek DNA & RNA purification reagents.
What you will do:
Works independently or within group to design and perform experiments to properly execute management initiatives Troubleshoots experimental results from laboratory techniciansProperly documents laboratory test and resultsPlays a key role in department goals and project deadlines being metEnsures that all company, industry, state, federal safety standards are being followed including OSHA, EPA and waste managementDevelops experimental plans to properly improve or achieve desired resultsHelps train laboratory techniciansInteracts with senior laboratory personnel to review progress and resent resultsEnsures laboratory is clean and equipment is being properly maintainedDeveloping, optimizing and performing assays such as for qPCR, PCR, NGS or ELISA applicationsRevise and update SOPs, as directed by managerFollow Established company SOP and ISO 9001 Guidelines
What you will need:
MS or PhD degree in life science area or equivalent experience3+ years post-degree molecular biology laboratory experience. 5+ years with MSAble to obtain full face respirator certification upon hire
What you will bring:
Experience with DNA & RNA extraction, PCR and qPCR. Preferred experience with Next Generation Sequencing workflowsIndustry experience
